Financial support for struggling care workers in Oxfordshire
11/05/2022
Oxfordshire County Council and The Care Workers’ Charity have come together to offer grants
Care workers in our area who encounter a sudden loss of income are being offered a lifeline to help them stabilise their finances and health, so they can continue focusing on providing high quality care.
Oxfordshire County Council and The Care Workers’ Charity have come together for the scheme, which provides grants to care workers in need, working or living in the Oxfordshire area.
The Care Workers Charity offer financial support to help combat the rise in living costs or care workers who are losing income due to illness or injury. Grants can also give assistance with purchasing white goods or household items, and for those who are facing eviction.
Eligibility for support will be confirmed by workplace and is based on the person living or working in an Oxfordshire County Council postcode area.
The County Council has also provided funding to enable eligible care providers to reimburse the cost of the Blue Light Card to their employees. This will be administered by the Care Workers’ Charity.
