Brackley set to get crafty and crown the jubilee celebrations

Crown making sessions in Brackley have been given a right royal upgrade thanks to a house builder.    Young people from the town will be attending special craft workshops this Friday, for which Taylor Wimpey have donated £500 to cover the cost of resources and materials.

The workshops are free to attend and will be held at Egerton Hall.  Children and the young-at-heart are likely to wear their finished crowns at the many events lined up in Brackley to celebrate the Platinum Jubilee, including Brackley Carnival on Saturday.

Danielle Heard, Sales and Marketing Director for Taylor Wimpey, Oxfordshire said: “We’re delighted to be supporting the Jubilee celebrations in Brackley by helping to fund the crown making workshop on 3rd June.

“We know all about the great local community from our work at the Willow Park development in Radstone Fields, and we’re excited to see everyone coming together to mark this historic occasion”.

Georgia Connor, Marketing, Communications and Events Officer from Brackley Town Council said: “We are incredibly grateful for the support and donation from Taylor Wimpey so it can enable these workshops to run to the best of their ability. We are very much looking forward to all of the wonderful crown creations on Friday!”.

The crown making workshops are running at 10am, midday and 2pm and are open to all the local residents and children.   There are a very limited number of places still available on the later sessions.   Places can be booked by calling Brackley Town Council on 01280 702 441 or by emailing office@brackleynorthants-tc.gov.uk.
