Victoria Prentis issues statement following PM confidence vote
07/06/2022
“I remain committed to serving my constituents and focusing on my Ministerial responsibilities at Defra”
Victoria Prentis has confirmed she voted in favour of Prime Minister Boris Johnson at last night’s confidence vote. Mr Johnson survived the vote by Conservative MPs with 211 supporting him, whilst 148 signalled they wanted him to go.
In the statement, which was issued on Tuesday morning, the MP for Banbury said she continued to support the Prime Minister and remained committed to serving her constituents. The message indicated a desire to now focus on other matters, including the response to international issues like the war in Ukraine, the pandemic and Mrs Prentis’ ministerial work with others across government and internationally to ensure that food continued to reach those who need it the most.
Mrs Prentis’ full statement said: “Last night, I voted for the Prime Minister in the vote of confidence.
“Now that we have the result, it is time to focus our efforts on delivering on what we were elected to do. I remain committed to serving my constituents and focusing on my Ministerial responsibilities at Defra.
“The past two years have seen an unprecedented period of global upheaval, with the deadliest pandemic in a century and now war on European soil which has led to surging inflation and rising costs. I continue to support the Prime Minister as we endeavour to lead the international response to the collective issues we face.
“We are all very concerned about the cost of living. In my Ministerial role, my immediate focus is on tackling food security at this difficult time. We are working across government and with our international partners to ensure that food continues to reach those who need it most.”

A confidence vote that inspires little confidence.

I’m sure these so called MPs go into 10 Downing Street and receive a down load brain wash because they all come out with the same nonsense seems like Mrs Prentis is only a so called MP when the cameras are out
