Fifty eggs given as a thank- you to emergency services over Easter weekend

The management team at Banbury’s Premiere Inn have donated Easter eggs to Banbury Police and the Fire Service as a thank you for all they are doing during the current coronavirus pandemic.

The Premiere Inn, alongside other hotels and guest houses, is currently closed, but the management team of five are still working.   Duty Manager Kirsty Northcote was out shopping last weekend and had the idea of how to say thank you to the Police and Fire Service.   She had seen that donations had already been made to the hard working staff at the hospital and was concerned that the Police and Fire Service should also be thanked for what they are having to deal with at the moment

Kirsty told Banbury FM, “I felt sometimes they go unnoticed.   I saw on the news that one policeman had been spat at and I thought that was absolutely awful.   I just wanted to give something back and so did the rest of my team”.

Kirsty decided it would be nice to buy Easter eggs as a mark of appreciation and called the other members of her management team to see if they wanted to donate.   With the whole team in agreement Kirsty was able to purchase 50 eggs which she has since delivered to the Police and Fire Service.

Kirsty says both teams were “really grateful” for the gift from the Premiere Inn management team.
