Third boy arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after Peoples Park stabbing

A 15-year-old and two 16-year-olds have now been arrested
A third person – another 16-year-old boy – has been arrested as Thames Valley Police continue to investigate the Saturday stabbing in Banbury’s Peoples Park.
A 15-year-old boy from Oxford and 16-year-old from Banbury, who were arrested earlier, remain in custody on suspicion of attempted murder. An extension on them being held was authorised this afternoon.
It was around 4pm on Saturday afternoon when a 21-year-old man sustained serious stab injuries. He remains in hospital, where he is now in a stable condition.
Thames Valley Police are asking for anyone with any information, or who witnessed the incident, to call 101 or make a report online, quoting reference number 43220255119.
