Youngster’s mission to run raffle to raise £500 for the Horton General Hospital secures more help
Eight-year-old Freddie Morgan-Smart’s dream of raising £500 for the Horton General Hospital charity by running a raffle has got a step closer thanks to Kärcher Centre Banbury. The Grange School pupil has been asking local companies to donate prizes. Now the Kärcher team have come up trumps, giving Freddie a brand new pressure washer.
Kärcher Center Manager Tom Mitchell told Banbury FM they were impressed with Freddie. Tom said, “It’s just his whole attitude towards helping. He’s got an incredible drive about him. All he wants to do is help. He’s a fantastic little boy”.
Freddie, from Bankside, decided to run a raffle as his second fund raising initiative after an earlier cake baking project accrued £217 for the Horton General.
In addition to providing the pressure washer to Freddie’s list of prizes, Kärcher will also be helping in other ways when the raffle gets underway. They will make available a gazebo and other items which Freddie can hand out.
Tom said, “We’ll do all we can. We like to help the community so we’ll do all we can to help raise money for the colleagues at the NHS”.
If you would like to donate a prize to Freddie’s raffle please let us know and we will put you in contact with Freddie’s mum: news@banburyfm.com.
