Katharine House team ready to restart trading at their charity shops
The Katharine House Hospice has announced it is reopening some of it’s shops. The hospice’s fund raising store in Brackley’s Market Place has already reopened its doors. The Bicester shop will open tomorrow (July 23) and the Banbury shop next week, on Thursday.
Like other local retailers the Katharine House team have been working through all the government advice and guidance to ensure the shops are safe for staff, volunteers and customers, and all relevant COVID-19 safety measures are in place.
Due to government guidelines none of the changing rooms at the shops will be in use and so clothing cannot be tried on before buying. A spokesman for the Hospice said, “Any clothing purchases that need to be returned, can be. First and foremost we will offer an exchange or a credit note. However, if either of these options are not possible, we will give a refund. The refund will only be possible in conjunction with a card payment, the Katharine House shop labels attached to the item of clothing, and the relevant receipt must be produced”.
The Hospice’s shop are once again accepting donations but are restricting this to certain days and times as items will need to be “quarantined” as a COVID-19 precaution before being sold. In the Banbury shop donations will be accepted on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays between 11am and 3pm. However, ahead of reopening the shop is accepting donations until Friday this week between 10am and 4pm.
