Crash leaves A4260 closed for a number of hours

Fire service release trapped driver following Friday afternoon collision

A driver was taken to hospital after his car collided with a tree on the main A4260 between Adderbury and Deddington.   The emergency services were called on Friday afternoon just after 4pm.

The road remained closed between the Milton turn layby north of Deddington and the junction with Berry Hill Road in Adderbury for a number of hours.

Three fire crews were sent to the scene and they worked to release the trapped driver.

Paramedics from South Central Ambulance Service and doctors from Thames Valley Air Ambulance also attended the incident.

Thames Valley Police has begun an investigation into the collision.
