The Soapbox Derby is an exciting day of thrills and spills where brave drivers race their gravity propelled soapboxes down the steep hill in Avon Dassett reaching speeds of over 50 mph.

A fun family day out!
Just 4 weeks to go now until the 2024 Avon Dassett Soapbox Derby on Saturday 22nd June! The karts are being put throughout their final paces, the officials and judges are preparing, the trophies are being polished, and Avon Dassett is getting ready once again to host this amazing event!

Who will be crowned Champion of the Hill and who will have the Best Looking Kart?

								Your favourite music from the 60s, 70s, 80s and 90s							
								Spend your evening with us for brilliant memories from four decades of music - the 1960s, 1970s, 1980s and 1990s.

Each evening we dig through our massive collection of some of the biggest songs from three fantastic decades.

From the 1960s we'll play the songs that were around at the time when England won the World Cup, man stepped on the moon for the first time, Dr Who was first broadcast, and everyone was groovy during the summer of love.

From the 1970s it's the tunes that will bring back memories from the period when the sun never stopped shining during that long hot summer, people played with Simon, we went to see movies like Grease and Jaws for the first time, and we boogied at the best discos.

From the 1980s we select songs that were around in the era of the first CD players and home computers, the iron lady, the first episode of The Simpsons and the Live Aid concerts.

From the 1990s the music will evoke memories of Cool Brittania, Girl Power, Britpop and big puffa jackets.

You'll be singing along with your favourite music from four brilliant decades all evening long!
