DetailsBanbury Historical Society present a talk by Dr Stephen Wass at Banbury Museum this Thursday evening.  Secret Gardens and Science reveals the secrets of Oxfordshire Gardens during the seventeenth century.   The county was home to a series of impressive water gardens that had important links to the development of scientific thought at Oxford.   These gardens have become ‘lost’ and their true nature has only been recently revealed through a programme of archaeological and historical research.   The talk starts at 7.30pm.
