Brackley Care Home has three beautiful gardens, all with different inspiration and aspects, and the care home is looking forward to sharing the perfume, colour and peacefulness of their surroundings with the wider community.

Since the garden’s inception in 2020 their aim has been to have a completely organic environment. With this aim in mind, as much wildlife as possible is encouraged into the garden so that the ecological balance is naturally created.

There are regular visits from a huge variety of birds, hedgehogs, foxes and the home also has their own beehive (honey will be on sale).

The residents love to watch and feed the birds and help to pick the produce and herbs that are grown in the garden. The garden has a very calming and therapeutic affect on the residents with a small water feature and, when the weather permits, it is their favourite place to have tea and homemade cake.
Event details
Entry fee: £3 per adult, which includes a cup of tea or coffee and a piece of cake. Under 12s are free.

Directions: Brackely Care Home is easy to find and is located on the adjacent site of Brackley Medical Centre and across the road from Sainsbury’s in Brackley.

Parking: there is free parking outside the care home and at Brackley Medical Centre.

Accessibility: for wheelchair users.

Dogs: allowed on leads.

Plant sale: Herbs will be sold by our residents together with jars of honey made by the care home’s hive of bees.
Entertainment: Trumpeter Ian Civil will be providing music from 2pm to 4pm. Outdoor games will be set up for children to enjoy.
