100 Winter Coats project help struggling families stay warm
12/11/2021
Those in need can visit for free winter coats, gloves, hats and scarves
Last weekend the Visit Banbury Community Interest Company organised a pop-up shop to ensure local people could stay wrapped up warm this winter.
Their 100 Winter Coats project took donated children’s and adult’s coats and made them available free of charge to those struggling to afford proper winter outside clothing. Many of the items were as good as new and included coats, hats, scarves and gloves.
For those in need of items no referral was needed – people could simply just turn up.
Having given away dozens of items last weekend the team will be back up and running tomorrow. They can be found in the former Oxfam Shop at 43 the Market Place from 11am-2pm.
Appropriately tomorrow is #WorldKindnessDay.
