He was made to kneel before being punched in the face
Police have issued a witness appeal in relation to the assault of a 12-year-old boy in Banbury.
The youngster was cycling through People’s Park at around 5.15pm on Sunday, January 28. He was approached by another boy and a friend and then told to get off his bike and kneel on the ground, before being punched in the face.
The suspect is described as a white male, aged 12–13 years old, around 5ft 2ins tall and of a large build with black curly hair. He was wearing a tight‑fitting dark Nike tracksuit.
Officers believe there were people in the park at the time who may have seen the incident or the individuals involved.
The victim is recovering from what he found to be a distressing experience.

Police issued an appeal for a similar incident in the Easington area of town on the same day a couple of weeks ago.
