12-year-old in custody after two assaults on the Middleton Road

The incident took place outside the Londis store on Saturday afternoon
A 12-year-old boy has been arrested after two people were assaulted in Banbury earlier today (Saturday).
The victims – a male and a female – were outside the Londis store on Middleton Road at around 2.25pm when the assault happened.
The 12-year-old was arrested on two counts of suspicion of assault. He is currently in police custody.
Thames Valley Police are asking for anyone who witnessed the incident to contact them on 101 or via their website, quoting reference 43230313850.
The arrest comes as part of Operation Jankle – Banbury Neighbourhood Policing Team’s response to the group of youths responsible for ongoing anti-social behaviour and offending in the Banbury area.
