Man arrested following collision – car passenger taken to hospital
A man has been arrested on suspicion of careless and drug driving after a collision between a car and a lorry on Sunday lunchtime. One person was taken to hospital with minor injuries following the incident.
The collision involved an Audi A3 and a heavy goods vehicle. It happened around 1.40pm on Lockheed Close – the road leading from Ruscote Avenue towards Tesco and the Banbury Cross Retail Park.
The 33-year-old male driver of the Audi A3 has been arrested. The passenger of the Audi A3 sustained minor injuries and was taken to the Horton General Hospital to be assessed.
Thames Valley Police is appealing for anyone with any dashcam footage from the area at the time to contact them. They are also keen to hear from anyone who believes they witnessed an Audi A3 being driven erratically in the area.
