15/07/2020
Banbury Clean will spruce up areas of town as experienced team undertake cleaning project
Work will start today (Wednesday) to give Banbury Market Place a good clean-up as Banbury BID joins forces with Kärcher Center Banbury for its Banbury Clean project. Other areas will be spruced up over coming weeks.
The project will see the Kärcher team use hot water pressure washers to clean central locations of the community. The aim is to increase the aesthetic appeal, and provide shoppers and visitors with confidence to return to Banbury town centre and support local businesses.
Jo Holland, Banbury BID Manager, said: “As we ease out of the lockdown, we want people to feel confident to come into Banbury town centre. We have been inspired by the way many of our local businesses and organisations have adapted, but it has been tough. Now more than ever, we need people to shop and support local where possible.
“We’ve pledged to make Banbury more vibrant and attractive for everyone and now is a good opportunity for us to spruce up our historic market town.”
To help with the clean-up operation Banbury BID is working alongside Kärcher, world leaders for cleaning technology with an array of cleaning solutions. An experienced team from Kärcher Center Banbury will start by cleaning the Market Square. They will then move to other areas around the town over the coming weeks.
Tom Mitchell, Kärcher Center Banbury Manager, said: “Here at Kärcher Center Banbury, we wanted to do all we can to support our local town and help make a difference with the array of different cleaning solutions that Kärcher has to offer. We are proud to be working with Banbury BID in an effort to clean up Banbury town and make visitors feel safe and confident in returning”.
