Mum pleads for missing Banbury man to get in contact
04/12/2020
Matty Reid has not been seen since leaving his mum’s house last week
A Banbury mum is pleading for her son to get in contact after going missing over a week ago. Matty Reid was last seen leaving mum Sarah Reid’s house on Wednesday 25th November. No one has heard from Matty since.
When Mr Reid went out he told his mum he would be back within 40 minutes and gave no indication he wouldn’t return. He left Mrs Reid’s home on Padbury Drive in Grimsbury at 7pm and didn’t take anything with him apart from a small man bag.
Mrs Reid said: “He’d ordered a pizza and we’d had pizza together.
“He said ‘I won’t be long’. Then it got to 11, to 12. I stayed up until 1 then had a sleep and when I came back down in the morning he was still not here. I thought this is not right”.
Mr Reid’s phone has been turned off since he left and none of his friends have heard from him.
When he left he was wearing a black baseball cap, a black hoodie, black tracksuit bottoms and black trainers.
Mrs Reid just wants her son, who has his 24th birthday next week, to get in contact. She said: “He needs to come home. We need to know that he’s alive and safe. I don’t want him to be scared but we need to identify that he’s alive and OK”.
A spokesman for Thames Valley Police said: “Anybody who knows of his whereabouts should call 101 quoting reference number 43200396027.”
