Banbury United announce manager to remain with the club until at least May 2023
Banbury United has announced that manager Andy Whing has signed a new two-year contract with the club, running through to May 2023.
Mr Whing joined the Puritans in May 2020 after an illustrious playing career, making 346 Football League appearances and subsequently gaining coaching experience within the game including his UEFA “A” badge.
On signing his contract Mr Whing said: “I am proud to be part of such a fantastic club and that the Board have showed their faith in me to continue as manager.
“There is real momentum here and I can’t wait to build on the work that was cut short last season. I want more days like the Bury Town one for the club’s brilliant supporters to enjoy.”
Banbury United Chairman Phil Lines said: “We are delighted that Andy has agreed a new deal. He made a big impression in the short time we were able to play in 2020 and we are sure there are more good things to come with him as our manager.”
