Woman arrested after collision early on Sunday morning
A witness appeal has been launched after a car collided with a traffic island on the Southam Road in Banbury. The incident, involving a grey Ford Fiesta, happened between the Dukes Meadow Drive roundabout and Hardwick Hill at around 3.25am last Sunday morning.
A 26-year-old woman from Banbury was arrested on suspicion of driving a motor vehicle with an alcohol level above the legal limit. She has since been released under investigation.
No other vehicles were involved.
Investigating officer, PC Callum Cooper, based at Bicester police station, said: “I am appealing for any witnesses to this incident to please come forward.
“I would also ask any motorists who were in the local area around the time this happened to please check any dash-cam footage in case it may have captured something that could assist our investigation.”
