Friday evening operation catches three people with illegal substances
Trained sniffer dogs were used in an operation at Banbury Train Station on Friday evening (May 21), targeting people carrying illegal drugs.
Banbury’s Neighbourhood Policing Team worked alongside British Transport Police and Inquest Canine Detection & Security Ltd to identify people carrying illegal items.
A number of stop searches were completed and drugs were seized from three people.
Thames Valley Police said the operation was part of their continuous fight against drugs.
A spokesperson said: “Drugs harm lives. If you have concerns about somebody you know suffering from addiction, or becoming involved in the supply of drugs, there is help out there. Report to us either online, calling 101 or anonymously via Crimestoppers.”
