Grounds team transforming Puritans ground
27/05/2021
A number of projects have been completed to improve the Banbury Plant Hire Community Stadium
The grounds team at Banbury United have been busy over the last few weeks using grants that have been made available to the club to improve the Banbury Plant Hire Community Stadium.
The work completed includes an overhaul and refurbishment of the changing rooms, a new turnstile block at the Clubhouse End and replacing all the pitch surrounds boards.
In the changing rooms specialist work was required to remove and replace the roof. Internally the two changing rooms and physio room will be gutted and replaced.
At the clubhouse end the existing turnstile block and kit storage shed have been taken. They have been replaced with a new turnstile block that will create a fresh look for those approaching the club.
The grounds team are also working on ambitious plans to improve the seating in the John Nicholls stand with the installation of new seats from Brentford’s former Griffin Park ground.
The usual end of season pitchworks have also taken place.
A spokesperson for the club said: “We are very grateful to the grounds team for their fantastic support and work to improve the club and look forward to welcoming supporters in pre-season to see the outcome of their work.”
