Katharine House launched “Rose to Remember” in 2023
Families are being invited to take part in a special remembrance event this June as Katharine House Hospice brings back its “Rose to Remember” commemoration.
The charity will host the event in its hospice grounds, giving people the opportunity to honour loved ones by purchasing a hand-crafted metal rose. This year’s roses will be purple, forming part of a temporary installation on display from June 9 to June 21.
The first “Rose to Remember” event launched in 2023 and since then has raised £43,927 to support the hospice’s work. This year, 600 roses will be included in the display, with families invited to attend special viewing days on June 13 and June 18.
Sally Brooks, Individual Giving & Philanthropy Manager at Katharine House Hospice, said: “This event has become an important part of our annual calendar and a way to support people with their grief, whether they have a link to the hospice or not.
“Rose to Remember is a special way to honour the life of someone you love while supporting the vital work of Katharine House Hospice. Each beautifully hand-crafted rose is not only a lasting tribute but also a meaningful way to help us continue providing specialist care to adults, and their families, facing life-limiting illnesses.”
More information, including how to purchase a rose, is available on the hospice’s website.
