Deputy Head says today is a time to celebrate students’ resilience and determination

Students arriving to collect their A Level results at Magdalen College School in Brackley on Thursday morning were greeted with sunshine and an ice cream van to help them mark the occasion.

Across the country for those receiving their grades, this year’s exams were the first formal tests they have ever taken because of Covid-19 disruption at schools.

Tom Hollis, Deputy Head Teacher, said: “We are incredibly proud of our students as they receive their A Level results. Today is a time to celebrate their resilience and determination, and to wish them well as they confirm their next steps.

“These students are receiving confirmation of their academic achievements and successes. We know this is also a generation of students who care deeply about each other and the world around them. We wish them every success and look forward to hearing of their future adventures.”
