Accident closes A361 on Tuesday morning

Surrounding routes struggled as drivers tried to avoid the crash

The A361 between Banbury and Bloxham was closed for over two hours this morning due to an accident. First reports of the crash started to circulate shortly after half past seven.

Thames Valley Police closed the road between the Warriner School and the Wykham Lane.   Oxfordshire Fire and Rescue and South Central Ambulance were also in attendance.

Surrounding routes struggled as drivers looked for an alternative, with the Broughton Road already struggling with roadworks at Broughton village.

The A361 reopened after shortly after 10am.
