Alkerton Waste Recycling Centre closed

Two days essential maintenance is taking place
The household waste recycling centre at Alkerton is closed for the next couple of days to enable essential work to be carried out.
The site is shut today and tomorrow (Tuesday) to allow for deep cleaning and maintenance to take place. The centre has to be closed for safety reasons whilst this is happening.
Work scheduled to take place includes jet washing the site and structures, repainting lines and safety areas, as well as other general work aimed at improving the customer experience.
We’re asked to hold onto any waste until the site reopens or, if that isn’t possible, visit another waste and recycling centre, which are open as normal.
Alkerton will reopen at 8am on Wednesday.
