Amended 200 bus route will better serve Chenderit
20/08/2024
A parent had expressed concerns over poor bus links
Stagecoach is making minor changes to its 200 bus service between Banbury and Daventry to better serve children and parents travelling to and from Chenderit School.
The changes, which come into force from September 1, will see a morning and afternoon journey on the 200 bus connecting Chenderit School with Daventry, Woodford Halse, Chipping Warden and Wardington.
Stagecoach West agreed to add the diversion to the 200 route following discussions with Oxfordshire County Council and after a parent expressed concerns over poor bus links.
The changes will see the 0730 from Daventry to Banbury running 10 minutes earlier as far as Wardington. The route will then run via Chacombe and Middleton Cheney to serve the school. After this it will continue to the M40 roundabout and follow its normal route to Banbury.
On school days the 1530 service will also run via Middleton Cheney to serve Chenderit, then continuing to Chacombe then Wardington, before following its normal route to Daventry.
Stagecoach was recently awarded a two-year contract, supported by Oxfordshire County Council and West Northamptonshire County Council, to continue operating the 200 service between Banbury and Daventry.
