Another amber alert for rain issued
26/09/2024
Another deluge is due to hit our area later this afternoon
Just days after the last torrential downpour and the Met Office has this morning predicted more of the same for later today.
An earlier yellow weather warning for rain has now been updated to an amber alert.
They warn of spray and flooding probably leading to difficult driving conditions and some road closures. They also warn that homes and businesses are likely to be flooded, causing damage to some buildings.
The wet weather is due to arrive during this afternoon, with heavy rain forecast until Friday breakfast time.
Around the Banbury FM area the clean-up is continuing following Monday’s deluge. The Mill Arts Centre plans to reopen later today after flood water from the River Cherwell entered the building on Monday and home owners in Dog Close in Adderbury are assessing the damage now the Sor Brook has receded.
