10/04/2024
Performances of Frozen the Musical Junior start on Thursday – planning for a Christmas show is underway
Around 40 local youngsters will be stepping out on stage from tomorrow with the Avocet Theatre Company’s latest production – Frozen the Musical Junior.
It’s the tale of Elsa, Anna, Olaf, Kristoff, and Sven as they embark on a magical journey in a show which promises to be visually stunning and full of songs everyone will know. The show will incorporate a range of technical and performance techniques to recreate the iconic world of Elsa’s ice powers.
Frozen the Musical Junior is being performed at the Wykham Theatre at Wykham Park Academy with evening performances on Thursday, Friday and Saturday and a matinee on Saturday afternoon.
Most of the shows have already sold out, but just a few remain for Thursday’s opening performance.
Avocet Theatre Company is an award winning registered charity with a number of members who have gone on to perform and train professionally.
The Company’s next production will be Nativity the Musical this Christmas. Anyone interested in being involved is invited to a Presentation Evening on Tuesday April 30, from 7.15pm at Christopher Rawlins Primary School in Adderbury.
Ben Coleman, Chairman of Avocet Theatre Company, said: “I can’t wait for ATC to bring these two incredible musicals to Banbury audiences. Frozen is truly magical and inspiring, and both fans and newcomers of the film version will fall in love with this production.
“Nativity the Musical is such an exciting undertaking. We hope to welcome new members – adults and children – to join us for this full length musical that features a live band. It’s bound to be a popular hit with Banbury audiences this Christmas, and we hope to see anyone looking to tread the boards at our Presentation Evening at the end of April”.
