B4035 closed through Monday after collision

Firefighters used hydraulic cutting and spreading equipment to free the driver

A driver had to be cut free from their vehicle after a van and car collided on the B4035 just outside Lower Tadmarton yesterday morning (Monday).

Emergency services were called to the scene just before 11:30am.

Upon arrival firefighters from Banbury and Deddington found the driver with their legs trapped under the dashboard from the impact.    Hydraulic cutting and spreading equipment was used to free them.

The road remained closed between Broughton and Lower Tadmarton until the evening whilst accident investigation work took place.
