Chris Taylor will face the reigning Scottish and Three Nations Champion

An 18-year-old boxer from Banbury will be making his debut for England on Saturday.

Chris Taylor, who’s a member of Banbury Boxing Club, will step into the ring in Fleetwood in Lancashire to face Scotland’s Taylor McMahon, the reigning Scottish and Three Nations Champion.

Chris is moving up a weight class for the fight, which is a huge challenge taking on one of Scotland’s brightest young talents.

Chris and his twin brother Johnny are both studying for a Diploma in Sporting Excellence at Limehouse Boxing Academy in London.   Chris bagged silver at the England Boxing Youth Championships in 2024 and is part of the England Boxing National Development Pathway.

This is the first time a member of Banbury Boxing Club has represented England.
