Police believe the victim sustained stab injuries to his legs, hand and face
A Banbury boy has been arrested following a stabbing in Bicester. The 17-year-old was arrested on suspicion of being in possession of a bladed article and concerned in the supply of controlled drugs.
At shortly after 6.30pm last Thursday (December 12) a teenage boy was attacked by three people at the entrance to the Town Walk North footpath on Magdalen Close. Police believe he sustained stab injuries to his legs, hand and face, which required hospital treatment.
Thames Valley Police is appealing for witnesses.
The three male offenders were all wearing dark clothing and face coverings. They got out of a dark blue Ford Fiesta. One of them was white.
Lead investigating officer Detective Inspector James Holden-White, said: “While we are in the early stages of our investigation, at this time we believe this was a targeted attack and that those involved are likely known to each other.
“We are asking anyone who witnessed the incident, or who may have CCTV, doorbell, or dash-cam footage from the area around Magdalen Close at the time of the incident, to please come forward.
“Enquiries have established that that the incident was directly witnessed by a male who was wearing an orange high visibility tabard and encourage this individual to identify themselves to police as they may have vital information to help our investigation.”
The arrested Banbury boy has been bailed with conditions until March 2.
