The team have provided alternative ways they can help until the lift is repaired

Banbury Citizens Advice has been forced to temporarily close its offices in Cornhill (at the top of the Market Place) as the lift to their offices is out of action and in need of emergency repairs.

This means the office won’t be open for drop-in advice or scheduled appointments until further notice.

The Citizen’s Advice team are contacting all those who have scheduled appointments to arrange an alternative meeting location.

For those who were planning on visiting, the advice is to visit one of the Community Help Information Points which operate around the area.   These include sessions at the Mosque on Merton Street (Wednesday 10.30am – 11.30am) and Grimsbury Community Centre (Thursday 1pm – 2.30pm).

By phone the Adviceline is available Monday to Friday between 9am and 4pm on 0808 278 7906. Calls are free from both landlines and mobile phones.

General advice is available on the national Citizens Advice website and information on emergency food parcels can be found here.

A spokesperson for Banbury Citizens Advice said: “We apologise for any inconvenience caused by these necessary building works and thank you for your understanding.”
