Banbury Cross Players season preview
26/09/2023
Plans for the forthcoming season will be unveiled at the Mill Arts Centre
Banbury Cross Players will be revealing their plans for the forthcoming season during a special session at the Mill Arts Centre this evening (Tuesday).
Audience members and supporters, together with those who could be performing on stage or behind the scenes, are invited to the event. The Directors of upcoming shows will be presenting their ideas and hoping to tempt people to either watch, or take part.
The season includes the return of a specially ’adapted for Banbury’ version of Cinderella. The pantomime has been written by Banbury Cross Players member Justin Clinch. Liz Riley will be directing the show.
Timberlake Wertenbaker’s historic drama Our Country’s Good is also lined up in the next few months. Chrissie Garrett will direct the performances and this evening plans to explain her ideas for the tale of the first convict ship’s arrival in Australia.
Other shows include the Players’ Festival Entry, Chekhovian Comedy “The Proposal” and Laura Wade’s hit comedy “Home, I’m Darling”.
The evening, which starts at 8 o’clock, includes a chance to talk to the Banbury Cross Players team.
