Banbury folk set to “keeeep dancing”!
31/03/2023
Strictly Banbury is now in its twelfth year
A group of local people are set to trip the light fantastic this weekend in the hope of impressing the audience and judges at Strictly Banbury. The local version of the popular TV show is returning for a twelfth year, with performances at the Mill Arts Centre this evening (Friday) and twice tomorrow.
Twenty couples will take to the dancefloor, having been in rehearsals since February. They’ve been mastering the Samba, Viennese Waltz, a group freestyle and an opening number.
The show had already raised over £11,000 by Friday morning. This year the money will go to Samuel’s Charity (an organisation that helps sick children across the UK) and Oxfordshire Mind.
The evening performances tonight and tomorrow have sold out. Just a few tickets remain for Saturday’s matinee.
