Boy hit over head with wrench on way to Banbury Fair

The offender is believed to be fifteen years old

A sixteen-year-old boy was hit over the head with what is believed to be a wrench as he made his way to Banbury Fair with his friends.   His attacker was a fifteen-year-old boy.

The assault happened on Banbury High Street at 10.30pm on Friday October 18.   The sixteen-year-old was treated in hospital for minor head injuries and has since been discharged.

Thames Valley Police is appealing for anyone with CCTV, or witnesses to the assault, to get in contact.

The fifteen-year-old offender is described as white, with short brown hair, approximately 6ft tall and of a skinny build.   He was wearing a dark coloured tracksuit.

Investigating officer, PC Sean Allwood, based at Banbury police station, said; “We would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the incident or has CCTV to please come forward.
