Brackley coffee and cake morning raises money for earthquake appeal

£607.10 was raised in just two hours
People in Brackley came together on Friday morning at an event to raise money for the DEC earthquake appeal for Turkey and Syria. A coffee and cake morning was held at Brackley Town Hall.
It was organised by Deputy Mayor, Councillor Sue Sharps, with a number of other councillors on hand to help serve throughout the morning.
Cakes were donated by The Old Fire Station and local home bakers.
In just two hours £607.10 was raised. Anyone who was unable to attend the coffee morning but would like to donate towards the total amount can contact Brackley Town Council on 01280 702 441.
A spokesperson said: “Our thoughts are with the people of Turkey and Syria, along with their families and communities who have been affected by the devastating earthquakes.”
