Brackley folk set to mark the Coronation in good company
05/05/2023
A huge day is lined up at Brackley Rugby Club
People in Brackley are gearing up to mark the Coronation of King Charles III in good company tomorrow. Brackley Town Council has organised a Picnic on the Pitch and Family Fun Day.
The event will be held at Brackley Rugby Club and includes watching the historic scenes from London on a big screen.
Alongside that a whole range of fun activities have been arranged to keep both young and old entertained, including an obstacle course, axe throwing, soft archery and giant garden games.
For those inspired by the pictures from Westminster Abbey, crown making workshops will enable Brackley folk to also wear the royal headgear.
Brackley Morris Men will be dancing during the day and local singer Jennah will perform in the afternoon.
A large variety of food and drinks traders will be on hand to keep people fed and watered.
The event is free to attend, with the gates opening from 10am. Those attending are reminded there is no parking at the event.
