Brackley ready to celebrate at Party In the Park

The town’s first big event since the pandemic started includes live music, children’s entertainment, attractions and food and drink
People in Brackley are getting ready for the town’s first big event since the pandemic started with Party In The Park taking place tomorrow.
A number of bands and singers are set to take to the stage to entertain those in Brackley Park during the 10 hour event. There will also be plenty of activities to keep families entertained
The music bill includes headliners The Skalectrics, Backstreet Noise and Harry Pane, amongst others. The Starlight Dance Academy and Brackley Morris Men will also be performing.
Circus Avago will provide interactive circus activities between 2pm and 6pm. Children and nimble adults will get the chance to try tight rope walking, ride unicycles, juggle, spin plates and walk on stilt.
Meanwhile the Brackley Elves will be demonstrating balloon modelling and encouraging people to get involved.
A wide variety of refreshments are on offer including Mister V Street Food, Santina’s Wood Fired Pizza, Brett’s Own Brews and Penelope’s Vintage Ice Cream Van. The Old Fire Station Café will have a stall selling sweets, cakes and scones.
The Oxford Bar Company and The Decanter Box will also be on site through the day.
The Mayor of Brackley’s chosen charities for 2021 (Brackley Mental Health and Brackley Youth Engagement) will benefit from collection buckets which will passed amongst those attending.
Georgia Connor, Communication, Marketing and Events Officer for Brackley Town Council, told Banbury FM: “There’s been a lot of interest on line. It’s the town’s first big event since the pandemic [started]. We really hope everyone is looking forward to it. It should be a really good day.”.
Brackley’s Party In The Park runs from 2pm until 9.30pm.
