Police have sought to offer reassurance to local people

Thames Valley Police are updating their patrol plans on a Banbury estate in the face of a rise in youth related anti-social behaviour.

During one incident in the Hardwick area a brick was thrown through an elderly resident’s window.

Officers say they understand the concern this has caused within the community and are actively investigating this matter.

They hoped their revised patrol plans will ensure increased visibility and offer reassurance to local people.

A spokesperson for the Neighbourhood Team said: “This behaviour is unacceptable, and we will not tolerate it.”

Reports of anti‑social behaviour can be made call calling 101, online, or by calling 999 in an emergency.
