Butterfly challenge at Banbury store raising cash for sick children
31/08/2023
Morrisons’ staff need to raise £500 on Saturday
Staff at Morrisons in Banbury are gearing up to take part in a company relay called “the Butterfly trail” this Saturday. Across all Morrison Stores they are aiming to raise £250,000 for Together for Short Lives, the charity which helps seriously ill children and their families make the most of every moment they have together.
Teams from different locations are transporting a giant butterfly from store to store. As the butterfly arrives at Morrisons in Banbury the staff have been challenged to raise £500 towards the company total.
To achieve this a number of money-making ideas are planned.
The day will start with a fleet of classic Morgan cars arriving at the store from 8.30am. Local Scouts and Explorers will help Morrison’s staff washing cars in the car park and inside a number of fun fund-raising games will keep people entertained.
Across the country the butterfly has already visited a large number of stores with over £200,000 raised by last Saturday.
