Calling green-fingered people with blooming lovely gardens

30/01/2026

The annual scheme for Katharine House will run through the year

Katharine House Hospice wants to hear from green-fingered local people who are willing to open their gardens to the public as part of this year’s popular Open Gardens scheme.

The initiative welcomes gardens of all sizes and styles, from small cottage plots to larger grounds, and runs through the year, showcasing spring bulbs, summer borders and autumn colour.

Funds raised support the hospice’s specialist palliative care services for local people.

Gardeners can take part individually or join together with neighbouring gardens or others in their area to create a group event.   The Hospice’s fundraising team will provide guidance and support throughout the process.

Anyone interested in becoming a garden host can find further information and register their interest here.
