Calthorpe Street charging points switched on
15/06/2022
There are now 22 town centre Council car park charging points in Banbury
Another twelve electric vehicle charging points were switched on in Banbury yesterday.
The new power-up points are in Cherwell District Council’s Calthorpe Street car park and have outputs ranging from 7 to 22 kilowatts. Anyone wishing to grab an evening or overnight charge can take advantage of free parking in the car park between 6pm and 8am the next day.
These additional town centre charging points join ten others that were powered up at the Windsor Street car park four weeks ago, taking the town centre car park tally to 22 charging points.
Electric vehicle users will be able to pay for their charge using contactless payments.
The latest installation is part of a project to make available new charging points in up to 20 car parks across Oxfordshire.
