Fire service: “Temporary road signs will help you negotiate the road the safest way possible”
Take extra care on roads that are under repair: that’s the advice from Oxfordshire Fire and Rescue after a vehicle overturned on a recently resurfaced Banbury road on Monday evening. Thankfully the people travelling in the car escaped with only minor head injuries.
The car was on the A423 Southam Road at the time. The carriageway is currently subject to driving restrictions whilst repairs and resurfacing is underway.
Green Watch from Banbury Fire Station attended the incident. The car had been involved in a complete rollover. No other vehicles were involved.
South Central Ambulance Service paramedics dealt with the people in the car.
A spokesperson for Oxfordshire Fire and Rescue said: “It is important to take extra care on roads that are under repair. Temporary road signs will help you negotiate the road the safest way possible.”
