Closure order for Easington Road property
21/06/2021
“This is a useful piece of legislation to help us combat illegal activity and anti-social behaviour”
A closure order has been obtained for a property on Easington Road that was subject to a drugs raid a week ago. A warrant was executed at the property on June 11 and a large quantity of Class B drugs were seized along with cash and other items linked to the supply of drugs.
A 19-year-old Banbury man was arrested.
The closure order was obtained from Oxfordshire Magistrates Court. It makes it an offence for anybody not listed on the order to be inside the address, including the garden and any outbuildings.
The Police will now make regular checks on the property and anybody found there that shouldn’t be will be liable to arrest and prosecution.
Writing on social media Thames Valley Police said: “This is a useful piece of legislation to help us combat illegal activity and anti-social behaviour.”
