Cold water swimming is back on Easter Day

Banbury’s Outdoor Pool opens up this weekend for brave chilly water swimmers
For the second year running Banbury’s outdoor swimming pool will be starting this year’s season early and offering cold water swimming from Easter Day, this Sunday. But those fancying an early dip are being warned the water will not be heated and is expected to be at around 12C!
Sunday’s session at the Woodgreen Leisure Centre will run between 9 and 11am. Following that weekday lane swimming will be available on Mondays, Wednesdays and Friday between 7 and 9am.
Wetsuits are highly recommended for those braving the chilly water, together with research into cold water swimming before diving in.
Bookings must be made in advance using the Woodgreen Leisure Centre website or app.
