The spooky Halloween attraction hopes to raise cash for Restore – the mental health charity
A Banbury lady who loves Halloween is hoping her Tunnel of Terror will give others a fun and spooky experience whilst raising money for a local charity.
Tracey Kovacs has set up the scary treat at her house at 75 The Fairway. The experience includes a child friendly area, live actors, animated figures, spooky lighting and scary objects.
This is the second year Tracey has set up her Tunnel of Terror and this year visitors will be asked to make a donation to Restore – the mental health charity.
Tracey really looks forward to Halloween. She said: “I absolutely love it – I have done for years. I’ve always had big Halloween parties and decorated the hallway so when people knock at the door they can see it all.
“Last year we decided to go bigger! It went really well and we’re going to do it every year now.
“You come in from the driveway gates and into a gazebo which is aimed at the very young – its all very child friendly in there. Then you walk through a bit of a maze.
“Its got a clown area, witches, a graveyard area and, new this year, a pirate area.”
Around six live actors, a smoke machine, sound effects and Eric the werewolf will add to the experience! Aside from those taking acting roles others have helped Tracey putting the Tunnel of Terror together.
Restore is the charity Tracey chose to benefit from any money she can raise this year. She said: “I know a lot of people who suffer with their mental health. Restore not only give people advice, they also have a workshop and it’s a place where people can go and meet other people.”
The public can visit the Tunnel of Terror over Halloween weekend, on Saturday and Sunday between 5pm and 8pm and from 4.30pm on Monday. It can be found at 75 The Fairway in Banbury (on The Link).
Tracey promises a frightfully fun night. She said: “Last year there was so much screaming how the police weren’t called, I don’t know!”
