Driver fails drugs test after speeding and window tint stop

The vehicle was stopped on Ruscote Avenue
A driver who had been pulled over on a Banbury road for speeding and excessive tints on his vehicle provided a drug wipe showing they were under the influence of cannabis.
Thames Valley Police’s Roads Policing Unit stopped the vehicle on Ruscote Avenue on Wednesday evening. They had seen it using excess speed and with window tints which they described as “excessive”.
The law states that the front windscreen must let at least 75% of light through and the front side windows must let at least 70% through.
When tested the driver provided a positive drug wipe for Cannabis. They were arrested and taken for a blood test at Abingdon Custody Suite.
