Driver identified after girl approached on her way to school

The incident happened at 8.35 on Thursday morning

Thames Valley Police have identified the driver of a vehicle who is alleged to have approached a Warriner School student, asking her to get into his van.   The driver is said to have told the girl “Come on, it’s a taxi”.

The incident happened as students were making their way to the Bloxham secondary school at 8.35 on Thursday morning.

An appeal was subsequently launched to identify the vehicle and driver, with the vehicle described as a “white van, rusty all over with blacked out windows side and back, no writing on the sides of the van and had a taxi sign on top that looked to be fake”.

Thames Valley Police confirmed they had identified the driver shortly after 5pm that afternoon.
