Drivers hit by road closure due to street light column replacement work
20/02/2024
Queensway and Woodgreen Avenue are affected by daytime closures
A road closure in Banbury caused problems for drivers on Tuesday morning and the daytime closure is set to remain in place for much of this week.
There will be no access to sections of both Queensway and Woodgreen Avenue between 7am and 9pm whilst work to replace street lighting columns is completed.
A signed diversion has been put in place, but surrounding roads have been busy with people trying to avoid queues.
Whilst the road is closed limited access will be maintained for emergency service vehicles and for people living directly along the affected section.
Stagecoach buses have been affected by the closure. The company said they had seen delays on the B5 route.
