Residents alerted to danger by smoke alarm
The occupants of a house in Hook Norton escaped from a blaze thanks to their smoke alarm alerting them to the fire.
Crews from three fire stations attended the incident in Bell Hill in the village during the early hours of Friday morning.
After the smoke alarm alerted the occupants of the property, they made their escape and called the fire service at around 2.10am.
Crews from Hook Norton, Chipping Norton and Banbury made their way to the house. They were faced with a well-developed fire which they put out using hose reels and breathing apparatus.
No one was injured during the blaze.
